“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
A letter to the Corinthians, written at a time when Corinth was a bustling city filled with idols and numerous distractions. As followers of Christ, we face various distractions in our lives, but it is crucial that we remain:
1. Committed
2. Devoted
3. Immovable
Undoubtedly, we currently live in a world where everything is easily accessible and readily available to us. Shopping, entertainments are just a flick of a finger. Even work and family can become distractions in our lives.
However, amidst the busyness of our daily lives, we need to set a time for our spiritual needs. It is essential that we discipline ourselves to seek God’s presence, praying and reading His Word every day. Let us strive to be steadfast, immovable, and always engaged in the work of the Lord.
